The department maintains a gymnasium, parks, and community and recreational centers. It offers sports activities, such as volleyball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf and soccer for adults. St. Johns County Recreation and Parks organizes various sports leagues and summer programs. It also conducts a variety of special events that include Earth Day celebrations, festivals and music shows for youths. The department s facilities include an amphitheatre, aquatic complex, golf course and pavilions. Additionally, it maintains an ocean pier that also provides a playground, area for picnics and volleyball courts.
