Honesty and integrity are the foundation for this family owned business that first opened its doors in 1988. The store is owned and operated by locals Danny & Jeanie Carter. The couple opened their first store in downtown St. Augustine and it was called Ancient City Jewelry and Coin. After four years the Carter's decided to take a more refined approach to their business. That was when "Carter's Jewelry" was born and at the same time, the location changed. Over the years, the business has evolved from a coin shop to a small by-appointment-only store and finally on to a fine jewelry retail establishment. With a special affection for diamonds the inventory at Carter's jewelry is breathtaking and seemingly endless. After years in the industry, the Carter's have established the best sources available worldwide for their diamonds. The savings that have resulted from their experience and contacts in the trade is passed directly to their customers.
