Its stores sell nonfood products, fresh fruits and vegetables, and beef, pork and poultry items. The chain s stores also offer grocery supplies and frozen food items. Save-A-Lot s stores provide products under the Diane's Garden, Joe Higgs, Harris Farms and Gilmore Gourmet brands. Its stores offer promotional coupons and gift cards and certificates. In addition, the chain s stores sell products from the Totino s, Banquet, Michelina, Wylwood, McDaniel and Kurtz brands. It supports several nonprofit organizations, such as the United Way, First Book, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. Save-A-Lot is a wholly owned subsidiary of SUPERVALU, which is one of the largest companies in the United States grocery channel.
