Firmenich Citrus Center, located in Safety Harbor, Fla., is a subsidiary of Firmenich. The division produces powdered citrus juices and oils and powdered drink mixes. Firmenich is among the top leading companies in the perfume and flavor industry. The company discovers and creates perfumes, flavors and aroma chemicals. Manufactures then integrate them into brands or perfume, cosmetics, household products and food and beverages. In 1895, Philippe Chuit and Martin Naef founded Firmenich in Geneva. The Swiss chemist and Mr. Naef were joined by Fred Firmenich, who became the majority partner. Firmenich is a family-owned business with sales offices and manufacturing centers located throughout North America and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
