Established in 1958, Sutter Center for Psychiatry is a nonprofit health care facility that provides psychiatric and mental health services to individuals. Its adult inpatient services include case management, medical evaluation, recreational therapy, psychological testing, specialized health education, discharge planning and placement assistance, education and support, and individual and group therapies. Its staffs include psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, chemical dependency experts, and licensed clinical social workers. Sutter Center for Psychiatry s specialty services include electroconvulsive and vagus nerve stimulation therapies. Additionally, it has a counseling center that provides counseling services for individuals suffering from mental disorder. The health care center also provides educational programs on health-related topics. Sutter Center for Psychiatry is a part of the Sutter Medical Center and is located in Sacramento, Calif.
