- Swedish MassageThe modality that I use to help people is called Energy Bodywork Massage, (it is not Swedish Massage and I do not use oils).
- Deep Tissue MassageBodywork therapy is a basic term that describes a group of body-based strategies to therapy that stress manipulation, as well as realignment, of the body's framework in order to enhance its function, in addition to the client's return to feeling back in harmony with their body and it's everyday living functions. These treatments commonly integrate a relatively passive phase, in which the customer gets deep-tissue bodywork or postural adjustment from an skilled massage therapist or practitioner, and may include discussion and explanation of body movement education, in which the client is asked to notice the feeling at different positions such as at rest laying on massage table, standing, as well as moving about after treatment to notice the difference of better positioning of the body as well as better ease of movement following bodywork therapy.
- Sports MassageAre you aware of the importance of having sports bodywork or sports massage if you are an athlete, perform in sports activities, or have a regular exercise routine? Did you know that having sports massage or sports bodywork is beneficial for any age group, even as young as 5? Any person, whether an adult or child- as long as they are participating in repetitive, activites that require strength, agility, or movement could use the relaxation of tissues that the sports massage or bodywork massage provides. Without it, the tissues and fascia tighten up, and stay tightened up until a therapist can help the fascia to release.

- Medical MassageFrom about 1996 through 2010, the hottest buzzwords used to address sports injuries were clinical sports massage, orthopedic massage and medical massage. I was strongly influenced to study orthopedic massage when I met Whitney Lowe in the mid 1990s, when he served on our National Sports Massage Education Council. His orthopedic assessment skills were instrumental in allowing me to match each therapeutic technique to the exact underlying pathology of each clinical condition. With the addition of that information, my work evolved from advanced clinical massage to orthopedic massage to integrated manual therapy and elite sports therapy training.

- Shiatsu MassageReturning to the holistic work of bodywork: As more Western practitioners lean toward Eastern healing practices that are rooted in natural herbs as well bodywork massage therapy, healing can address the body at the person's 'whole being' level. Take Polarity, a type of energy healing that resembles Reiki, yet without the attunement classifications. Polarity entails a lot more physical adjustment, touching and also rocking. Like all power work, its purpose is to balance the energy in the body. A seasoned professional will be able to feel where power runs out whack and also facilitate the energy flow as needed. There is also Shiatsu, which focuses on the circulation of power with various meridians in the body.
- Chiropractic AdjustmentsWe hypothesize that stasis of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) occurs commonly and is detrimental to health. Physiologic factors affecting the normal circulation of CSF include cardiovascular, respiratory, and vasomotor influences. The CSF maintains the electrolytic environment of the central nervous system (CNS), influences systemic acid-base balance, serves as a medium for the supply of nutrients to neuronal and glial cells, functions as a lymphatic system for the CNS by removing the waste products of cellular metabolism, and transports hormones, neurotransmitters, releasing factors, and other neuropeptides throughout the CNS. Physiologic impedance or cessation of CSF flow may occur commonly in the absence of degenerative changes or pathology and may compromise the normal physiologic functions of the CSF. CSF appears to be particularly prone to stasis within the spinal canal. CSF stasis may be associated with adverse mechanical cord tension, vertebral subluxation syndrome, reduced cranial rhythmic impulse, and restricted respiratory function. Increased sympathetic tone, facilitated spinal segments, dural tension, and decreased CSF flow have been described as closely related aspects of an overall pattern of structural and energetic dysfunction in the axial skeleton and CNS. Therapies directed at affecting CSF flow include osteopathic care (especially cranial manipulation), craniosacral therapy, chiropractic adjustment of the spine and cranium, Network Care (formerly Network Chiropractic), massage therapy (including lymphatic drainage techniques), yoga, therapeutic breath-work, and cerebrospinal fluid technique. Further investigation into the nature and causation of CSF stasis, its potential effects upon human health, and effective therapies for its correction is warranted.
