Incorporated in 1911, the Runnemede Fire Department provides emergency response services throughout the Borough of Runnemede in New Jersey. The department administers a workplace safety program to train business owners and employees. In addition, it conducts fire extinguisher training classes and public education and awareness programs. The Runnemede Fire Department offers fire prevention tips and is responsible for the inspection of residential and commercial buildings. The department organizes various sports activities for its members. The Runnemede Fire Department is also associated with the Beaver Brook Regional Fire Alliance. The Borough of Runnemede was incorporated in 1926 and has a population of more than 8,500 people.
