General Info

Dr. Stella Chung is an Ophthalmologist serving as a surgical fellow in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery with Dr. Kahana. She grew up in Seoul, Manila, and New Jersey. Dr. Chung earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Tufts University in Massachusetts. She earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree with distinction in research from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She subsequently completed her Ophthalmology residency at Rutgers University. A meticulous surgeon, Dr. Chung has a strong interest in basic science and clinical research and was awarded the Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship grant twice. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting modern art exhibits and reading autobiographies.
