James P. Timilty Middle School provides educational programs for the students in grades six through eight. The various subjects offered by the school include math, English, science, social studies, language arts and physical education. It has a library that offers books, magazines and audiovisual equipment to the students. The school also has a cafeteria and computer lab with Internet access. It organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, including math, science and literary competitions and puzzles solving events. The school also organizes a variety of sports competitions, including basketball, volleyball and soccer. It publishes school newspapers and has a student council and parent-teacher organization. The school is affiliated with Boston Public Schools and is located in Roxbury, Mass.
