Lonestar Auto Repair is now Golden Rule Auto Care! Why did we change the name? We wanted a name that represents who we are. We truly believe in treating others as we would like to be treated. Golden Rule Auto Care remains owned and operated by the same family who bought Lonestar Auto Repair almost two years ago. We want you to feel confident that your car is repaired correctly, quickly, and at a fair cost. Your customer experience starts before you bring your car in, and does not end until you are fully satisfied with the repairs.

The service and "up sale" experience we had getting a car repaired for a student while we were out of state was unacceptable. High pressure phone sales, pride and self promotion boasting certifications to stress the need to add a line and pressure check to estimated work so that repairs could be guaranteed was inexcusable. We were wary and concerned about the quality of work to anticipate. The concern was if something not a problem with h car would suddenly happen if we declined pressure check. Seems that checking work is part of good labor and install not a separate line item to guarantee quality work. What is up with a "decline waiver" and not providing a guarantee if the up sale is declined? It is very unfortunate we were traveling and unable do much about getting the matter resolved with peace of mind. Our greatest concerns were realized when negligence during repairs led to a blown transmission.
