The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District is responsible for providing fire protection and rescue services. The district provides coverage to approximately 45,000 residents and responds to more than 4,000 calls annually. It has a staff of trained and certified firefighters who offer emergency and nonemergency medical services. The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District operates several fire stations that are equipped with fire safety equipment. It also conducts fire training sessions that include fire safety tips and techniques for children and adults. The district additionally provides public education, fire prevention and planning services. The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District maintains a location in Round Lake, Ill.
