Johnson Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Located in San Rome, Ga., the school imparts reading skills to elementary-grade students through phonics instruction. Additionally, Johnson Elementary School conducts classes in art, music, physical education, library skills, science and computer applications. The school also has a library and media center that provides a variety of resources, such as books, journals, magazines and Internet access. It operates fine arts, computer applications, and health and physical education departments. Johnson Elementary School has a staff that includes a psychologist, speech pathologist, and physical and occupational therapists. The school is a part of Floyd County Schools.
