Marc's repair on a family heirloom glass cake stand was great! His turnaround was very fast and fair pricing. Also, Marc took the time to call me to make sure I was happy with his work. Would definitely work with him in the future.

I have a crystal pendant that is over 40 years old, and for sentimental reasons irreplaceable. I dropped it on a ceramic floor and of course it broke. Everyone told me it couldn't be repaired, until I found Marc at Bruening Glass. He is a true perfectionist and the repair is beautiful. It took longer than I expected, but the wait was worth it. Look, it's crystal. It takes a very skilled and talented craftsman to do this kind of repair. I've had crystal repaired other places before and could always tell it was a repair. You won't see the repair when Marc is finished. Just be patient and know you will get it back. I sent Marc several emails and he always responded.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They have had my glass since June 2013 and $170. I call and have spoken to Marc and he is very nice.....but then nothing. They have over 30 complaints with the Better Business Bureau. I am getting a Lawyer.

There is a very talented gift that rest in the hands of Marc Konys at Bruening glassworks. I call it the gift of restoration. Marc did an outstanding job on a 1959 Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta vase. The vase had some serious sick glass where the previous owner used some type of abrasive chemical in an attempt to get rid of water damage. The previous owner only made matters worse. Marc restored the vase to mint condition. Bruening glassworks provides exceptional restoration work. All you need is a little patience with Marc. I can guarantee he will get it right and you will be 100% satisfied with the results.

I left one vintage crystal glass to be repaired on August 20, 2012 and gave them 1/2 the cost of the repair up front. I got involved with selling my, house, move, getting settled etc. I called December 20 to find out what on earth happened to my glass.? NO ONE RETURNED MY TELEPHONE MESSAGE, SO MY CALL WAS NOT RETURNED. I called again today, January 13, 2014, and was told by Hansa (after she looked for the item, it would be completed by next week. When I said they had the glass since August, she said "they were behind". So what the person says below is TYPICAL. NO COMMUNICATION UNLESS YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE SOMEONE ANSWER THE TELEPHONE WHEN YOU CALL. In the past, anything they have fixed as been well done, however THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THIS HUGE WAIT.

Beautiful Work-Poor Communication



I sent a globe to my grandmothers lamp that was cracked for Breuning Glassworks to repair Feb 22, 2013.

I was told it would take 10 weeks for the repair to be completed. At about 13 weeks I started to worry and emailed Marc twice regarding the globe and never got a response.

At that point I panicked.

Then I checked the online reviews on Breuning Glass Works on this and other sites and then I REALLY panicked.



I went after them with everything I had which meant getting my State Attorney involved who is a patient and friend of mine. I decided to bring down an incredible amount of heat on this company and was in a position to do it.

I was convinced by these reviews Marc never returned anything.

So I had the Certified letters mailed to bring down all the legal heat on these people I could.

But there was a problem- the letters went out that morning and the globe arrived THAT AFTERNOON!

The point is Marc did the repair and sent it back ( a little late perhaps) as promised before he ever received the letters I had sent.

The repair itself is absolutely beautiful.



Marc got the letters days after he sent back the repair and was shaken according to my wife who talked to him. If you had received certified letters like that you would have been shaken to.



From what my wife gathered from talking to him Breuning Glassworks is a very small company and they lack someone really good at customer service. While they do beautiful work their correspondence often falls through the cracks.



The point is they do beautiful work and they do in fact return the work as promised. It may take longer than expected and you may have to call them to seek assurance your property is coming back since they often lose emails. But they do the work extremely well.

They do need better customer communication. There are complaints against them on the Better Business Bureau but if you read through them every person was pleased with the work they did and had it returned as promised.

I am convinced most of the people here who filed complaints did eventually get there property returned in great shape. They just never bothered to amend their complaints and left them as they stand.

They are the only business anywhere that does this kind of work so if you need crystal repaired there is no place else to get it done.

But be aware you are dealing with an artist and artists aren’t great in the communication department.

Marc Konys : Is a one star from a public relations standpoint. He doesn't answer calls and took about 10 weeks to repair my beveled curved carriage clock glass. However, when it finally was returned to me, I would have to give him 5 stars for the work. The curved beveled glass panel was indistinguishable from the original and fitted precisely in it's brass case. I really did not think it could be repaired so after the long wait I am very happy.

Marc Konys can do anything with glass. He installed a glass enclosure for our shower without using any metal. All of the big companies in NE Ohio said it couldn't be done, even though I showed them photo after photo in the design magazines. He is smart, intelligent, and will have no trouble figuring out what you want to do and how to do it. His staff is small and functions very well - messages are never lost and are always answered. Do a Google search for his name and you will discover the glass artist, Marc Konys.
