David A. Gentile, DO, ABAARM, ABIHM, also known as Dr. Dave™, graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dowling College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Dave finished his post-graduate training as Chief resident at North Shore LIJ at Plainview hospital (now known as Northwell Health). He continued on as the Associate Director of Medical Education at North Shore-LIJ at Plainview Hospital and within the North Shore LIJ hospital network. His wisdom and experience inspired up and coming physicians who trained directly with him using an integrative approach. He has also taught courses at Stony Brook University Hospital, Touro College, and was involved in published research at Stony Brook University Hospital Emergency Department. Dr. Dave enjoys continued learning and is enthusiastic about the application of new techniques designed to help his patients. Besides being a Police Surgeon, Dr. Dave actively treats 9/11 first responders. He is on the board of advisors for Xymogen, Inc., an international nutraceutical company. Sharing his knowledge and charismatic style as a public speaker, radio and TV guest, Dr. Dave has been a keynote speaker at national conferences. Along with his wife, Venus, he leads workshops on culinary-based nutrition and has championed a series of live cooking shows. He teaches Power Qi, his unique fusion of Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and energy work. He is a corporate consultant for ergonomic evaluations, pain, disease prevention, and lifestyle management. Dr. Dave makes regular TV & news media appearances, including News-12, Fios, WPIX and CBS-10. Dr. Dave is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and certified as Physician Acupuncturist.
