I came in with a party of 6 last night for my birthday. The reason I chose Dakota was for the prime rib. We arrived at 6:45 and they were already out of prime rib. I asked for an increase portion of filet at the price of the prime rib, the wait staff was great in going to check. When the manager came out she was terrible. She told me I could buy 2 filets at full price even though I did not want/need additional sides or salad. I pushed he issue and she made no attempt to offer anything to make me happy. When going out for dinner, people pay for a positve experience, not just food. The manager last night made my dinner a negative experience. Ultimately, I ended up paying full price for 2 filets and left a 20% tip for the server, but I will never return.

First time at Dakota's. A great experience. Bar tender was friendly and capable. The salad bar was fantastic - a mean all by itself. Ordered steak and salmon and both entrees were great. Done exactly as we asked for. Will get back there again soon. An enjoyable evening.

Highly recommended because the streaks are great. My wife and I were invited to Dakota of Rocky Hill for a retirement party. We thought at first that $25 per person was a little pricey but...The steak was like butter! Moist and tender. The wood grilled chicken had that smokey woody flavor that comes from REAL wood and not chicken in a bag. The service was excellent and the salad bar had everything. I had never seen baked beans on a salad bar, but there they were and they were delicious. Our waitress recommended the Sunday Brunch. We're definitely going to check it out!
