- Family PracticeExcruciating. That’s how Landi Miller describes the pain she was feeling on her right side, working down from her neck to her shoulder and into her right arm. This busy single mom with three kids and a job in the Winnebago County court system saw her life thrown into a tailspin when she was diagnosed with two herniated discs by her family practice physician.
- Emergency CareWhen pain in her right arm became so severe back in the late summer of 2015 that it was impacting her life, she knew she had to take action. She’d first woken up one morning with neck pain and it became progressively worse. She visited an urgent care clinic where, she said, the doctor didn’t take her pain seriously. She was given some anti-inflammatory medication, which helped. For a while.
- AutismPrior to joining The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois, Tiffany worked with children with special needs through the Harlem School District. She taught life skills to children with autism, and severe and profound disabilities. She also worked at a Med Plus taking X-Ray images and assisting the Physical Therapists with ultrasound and massage therapies. Tiffany completed the Radiology Technologist training program at Illinois Prairie State Chiropractors Association. Additionally, she is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

- MRILucy is a MRI Technologist at The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois. She joined the team in April 2007 when Rockford Spine Center now, The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois launched its internal MRI department. In this role, Lucy is responsible for preparing patients for MRI exams, conducting the exams to the physician’s specifications, sending exams to RSC doctors and Radiologist for interpretation of scans, maintaining MRI equipment, ACR accreditation, and mandated required regulations.
- RadiologyLinda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics and a minor in business administration from Eastern Illinois University. In 2003, she graduated from the Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Radiology. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

- MammographyLucy has 22 years experience as a Registered Technologist. She also works part-time at OB/GYN Associates doing Dexa scans. Prior to joining The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois she worked at the area hospitals in the Radiology, Mammography, CT and MRI departments. Lucy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kishwaukee College. She is a Registered Technologist in Radiology, Mammography, and MRI through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She is also a Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist. Additionally, she holds an active accreditation with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency in Medical Radiation Technology.
- General SurgeryIf patients need surgery, we use the least invasive procedure possible that will provide the most effective result. Minimally invasive procedures are available for certain conditions like herniated discs and single-level spinal fusion.

- Scoliosis SurgeryOur surgeons are experts in complex procedures like scoliosis surgery and advanced spinal reconstruction techniques. We have developed new surgical procedures ourselves, and are often among the first to learn and then teach others new techniques. We are board certified, fellowship trained in spinal surgery and have dedicated our practices solely to spinal surgery.
- Minimally Invasive SurgeryDr. Roh is co-founder of Rockford Spine Center now, The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois, and has long been dedicated to creating a comprehensive spine center that provides superior and compassionate patient care. He has special expertise in cervical spine surgery and minimally invasive surgery. As one of the select core faculty members for The Prestige® Cervical Disc, he traveled around the country teaching other surgeons this innovative disc replacement procedure. He has also lectured across the country on deformity surgery and advanced minimally-invasive techniques. Prior to co-founding Rockford Spine Center now, The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois, Dr. Roh completed the prestigious fellowship in spine surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, considered by many to be among the best training programs for spine surgery in the U.S.
- Orthopedic SurgeryDr. Roh is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and Scoliosis Research Society. He is currently a cabinet member and committee co-chair for the Scoliosis Research Society. And, for nine years, he has provided charitable orthopedic care at the Walter Lawson Children's Home in Loves Park, Illinois.
- NeurosurgeryAfter graduating, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City as a cardiothoracic operating room nurse before relocating to Rockford in 2011. Prior to joining RSC, Megan worked at SwedishAmerican Hospital in the operating room, gaining a variety of experience and specializing in cardiac surgery and neurosurgery. She is a Certified Nurse-Operating Room (CNOR).
- Sports MedicineJason has worked as Dr Sliva’s physician assistant since June of 2020. Prior to joining The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois, he worked within a multi-subspecialized orthopedic practice at OrthoIllinois in Rockford. Jason earned a master’s in physician assistant studies from Marywood University, and a bachelor’s in athletic training/sports medicine at Indiana State University. He is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Physical TherapyKim joined The Spine Center at OrthoIllinois in 2014 with 16 years of physical therapy experience. He is responsible for assessing patient needs, building treatment plans, guiding patients through recovery and ensuring continuity of care.
