The Adult Probation Department offers evaluation and presentence investigation services. Located in Rock Island, Ill., the department provides supervision and intake services. It also offers employment assistance, alcohol and drug treatment and mental health care services. The Adult Probation Department administers the Drug Court Program, which includes counseling and chemical dependency services. The department assists offenders to perform work at various nonprofit community agencies. In addition, the Adult Probation Department provides victim restitution and detention screening services. The department additionally administers the Domestic Batterer's Program, which includes domestic violence education and anger management services. It provides assessment and pretrial release services.
