Rock Hill School District 3 offers various educational and extracurricular activities. The school district is located in Rock Hill, S.C., and comprises more than 22 schools, including elementary, middle and high schools. It has an enrollment of more than 16,400 and offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through 12. It also operates an adult and community education and applied technology center. The school district provides transportation services as well. The subjects offered include English, physics, chemistry, biology, world history, American history, political science, mathematics, and health and physical education. The district also provides a research center, library and media center and a technology laboratory. In addition, Rock Hill School District 3 in collaboration with the Upper Palmetto YMCA operates the aquatic center of the community and also provides swimming lessons to the students.
