      The Shire at Culverton is a retirement community that is licensed by the state of New York. Its activities include bingo, spelling bees, exercise class, crafts, ceramics and discussion groups. It hosts several special programs for residents that include octoberfest, barbeque and band concert, holiday ball, and the spring ball. The retirement community offers nutritious meals with a wide variety of menu items. It provides 24 hours nursing care, transportation, and daily housekeeping and laundry services. Additionally, it offers long- and short- term care, and physical, occupational and language therapies. The Shire at Culverton also has a gift shop that offers candies, snacks, greeting cards and gift items. The retirement community is located in Rochester, N.Y.
