Parkleigh, Rochester’s favorite gift shop, is considered a “landmark” and a must-see for visitors. Located on Park Avenue in the heart of the cultural district for over 50 years, Parkleigh has many times been voted “Best Place to Find a Unique Gift.” Once a grocery store, and later a pharmacy, the building Parkleigh calls it’s home has seen many incarnations. In the 1970’s Parkleigh Pharmacy envisioned new ideas in merchandising unusual products and began carrying cutting edge items that were fashionable, trendy and fun. The selection of items grew to house ten distinct departments throughout the store which eventually led to saying good-bye to the pharmacy in the late 1980’s. Since that time Parkleigh continues to grow and evolve as the unique shopping experience you will find today.
