Established in 1922, the North Greece Fire District works to protect the lives and property of residents through fire prevention, education and emergency medical services. It operates more than two fire stations that house a fleet of engines, trucks and rescue vans. The district maintains a safety bureau that conducts various preschool fire and public safety programs. The North Greece Fire District supports the Explorer Post, which is a worksite-based program for youths between the agesn of 14 and 20. It is located in Rochester, N.Y.
