My wife has been raving to her friends about Jolie Salon and coerced me into going with her for her facial appointment. I decided to kill two birds with one stone so while she was getting her face done, I took advantage of an open slot in their appointment book to get my hair cut. The salon was nice appointed and in fact, somewhat classy looking. My stylist was real friendly and joked about the ten dollar haircuts I've been getting which is closer to the truth than a lie. I'm one of those guys who just walks into a shopping center hair place and gets a trim from whoever is available and apparently, it shows LOL! Needless to say, when my wife walked out she was a bit stunned at my "new" appearance and actually applauded the look. You truly get what you pay for and I learned my lesson about getting a bad haircut for a cheap price. Never again. Even people at work complimented me so yea, I will be going back and I will put up with the "I told you so's" from my wife. Great place. I'll be a regular customer from now on.

I had gotten a living social deal for this location for a mani/pedi and hair cut. I was very excited because with the coupon the price was right.
Once I got there and I had sat on the chair to get my mani/pedi is when I discovered that there was a dog allowed to be out and about at the ""Spa"". I am mildly allergic to dogs, and frankly felt uncomfortable with his presence. I know that the dog was small but if I was getting a contact high from all of the fumes from the hair salon side I can only imagine how bad that must have been for the dog!
Anyway, when I asked the patron if there was anything that could be done about the dog not being right by me, I was made to feel bad for even suggesting that someone would not want this small dog at the salon.
If you are allergic to pets, get grossed out by pets being in a hair salon or have a moral objection to a pet being subject to all the fumes that go along with working at a hair salon, then this is not the place for you.
As far as the service, it was pricey for what it was. Once I had mentioned that I was uncomfortable with the pet my mani/pedi was not very good. Because of this, I just took a trim to make sure that the staff wouldn't take out there frustration on my hair.
Definitely not worth the price, agony nor frustration.

I went to Jolie for a facial and was pleasantly surprised! I have traveled for many years and have had facials from all over the world. When I went to Jolie, Mary was my facialist. She was very professional, knowledgable and a great touch! I would highly recommend her to anyone and if I ever come back to Rochester, I will go again. I saw a review re a dog in the salon. The dog is a tiny little guy who doesn't bother anyone. Im not big on the idea of a dog in a salon but to be honest, he brought a smile to my face when I first walked in because it was unexpected. He just sat there not bothering anyone and was just the cutest! I say keep him there Jolie!
As always with a new salon, most people are hesitant! When I walked into Jolie, they were so welcoming and kind! I've been getting my nails and hair done there now for about a year! And their new locaton, just down the road, is absolutley beautiful! They have gorgeous artwork throughout the salon and the space is so nice! It's a must visit!
