Irondequoit Public Works Department offers various services to the residents of the state. The public works department is responsible for the supervision, construction, repair, and maintenance and cleaning of all highways, streets, culverts, bridges, and storm water drainage systems under the jurisdiction of the town. It also provides cleaning, repairing and maintenance services for streetlighting, trees within the highway right-of-way, sanitary sewers, sanitary pumping stations and sanitary force mains. The department also offers services, such as collection, conveyance and disposal of all wastewater within and operated by the town and the Consolidated Sanitary Sewer District.
