Terrible service!!! I live in Colorado and my son in Rochester. His car started leaking gasoline. He took it this shop for repair. He was told that it needed a new fuel pump and was given the price (labor and parts). My son consulted me as I know a lot about vehicles and especially this one. The guy was doubling the cost of the fuel pump from a local supplier (NAPA) that I called. Exact same pump. When my son called him on he said he was able to talk his supplier down, but not to the price that NAPA sold the pump. I understand some mark up and I get that the guy is running a business, but 100% is ridiculous, and then obviously was just throwing a number out there until he was caught. He completed the work. My son picked up the car and now the fuel gauge doesn't work. My son brought it back and the guy claims that it is a loose wire under the rear seat and refused to fix it without additional money ($150+). Like I said, I know these cars. The fuel level sensor is part of the pump assembly. He did it wrong and knows in order to fix it, he would have to drop the tank again. It's a lot of work. Guess he should have done it right the first time. He is claiming that the problem exists somewhere else. Wow, what a coincidence!! Then he claims that the gauge wasn't working before my son brought it in. First of all, that's on the mechanic to not check for additional problems involving parts that he is ready to replace. Second, the check engine light comes on if the gauge isn't working. Again, was the check engine light on??? Nope, it wasn't.

DO THE RIGHT THING!

While I was filling up my tank at this station, one of the mechanics noticed that one of my tires was low. On the spot, he checked its pressure, removed the tire, and found a nail. While I waited in the station, the hole was repaired, and I was sent happily on my way after paying a reasonable charge. I will go back to this station regularly. Great customer service! Ann

I Have always had postive experiences with Bowen's. They are fair when it came to getting my car inspected. They won't try and rip you off ( being a women this is huge thing.) They also drove me home when I was getting my tie-rod fixed and picked my keys up at my job and went to my house and towed the car to the station! You can't beat it!.Will do repeat business.
