The Bird House is a great resource for lovers of wild birds, with a wide variety of supplies, feeders and foods at reasonable prices. Twice a year they have a great five-for-the-price-of-four sale on large bags of seed, and they'll store them for you for free until needed. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They also carry a variety of outdoor furnishings, banners, sundials, wind chimes, etc. It's fun just to go in and look around. They're open seven days a week. The new location at 3035 Monroe Ave (immediately before the Hess station, across the street from the former location) is much bigger and more inviting, although getting out of the parking lot onto the the opposite (westbound) side of Monroe Ave is still challenging.
