      The Baird has developed and maintained only the highest standards of nursing home care and has been a proud member of the Rochester Nursing Home community, since it’s beginning, in 1962. This has been made possible by the compassionate and professional members of our team who are fully committed to each resident's quality of life. Our staff provides every individual the opportunity to enjoy the same day-to-day comforts and conveniences they’ve enjoyed throughout their lives. Residents and their families also share the peace of mind that comes from choosing a nursing home community with an established history and commitment to excellence. Our residents say The Baird feels like home because it is. We may not be the biggest facility in Rochester, but our smaller, more intimate facility, provides residents with much more than simply a place to live. Each individual benefits from a community based on family ideals, where personal interests are achieved and lasting friendships are formed. With just 28 residents, we’re more like an extended family than a nursing home. Not only do our caregivers truly know each resident and their families, but they’re able to spend the extra time that it takes to understand and focus on the unique needs and goals of each resident. Entertainment & Programs: Being active is an important part of enhancing ones quality of life. At The Baird Nursing Home, our Activities Department provides residents with a wide range of special programs and regular activities that serve many purposes. They help to encourage socialization between our residents and their families. Also, the activities help to stimulate both body and mind; and, of course, they're just a lot of fun!
