Their oil and Propane ok, Service last year stunk. New parts died within a month and they wanted to charge me again for new parts again less than three weeks old. They will disconnected me without a call !!!! Mail, No other bills come that way. My wife assumed they were flyers. Was home to get mail on Government order. Tried to explain, and They didn't want to hear it. If call was made this wouldn't have been in issue. So much for working for the Government. They didn't care once again.

I've was a customer of Eastern for almost 15 years and I looked the other way on a few screw ups over the years by their techs (one who got let go). But recently I had a leaking heating pipe and they could careless about helping be in this emergency. They said it wasn't covered up my plan. That is fine but I still needed them to come out and help me! I have cancelled my account with them.. They should least pretend that you - the customer - are important to them.

This company disconnected me without notice and after I had just paid part of my bill the month before. I owned them less than 100$ When asked to reconnected without fees because of no notification they refused, but when we told them to get their tanks we were going with someone else they offered to clear charges... I will not work with a company who thinks it's alright to shut off our gas with runs our heat, stove and hot water, in the winter cold while we have a young baby in the house.

This company used to be pretty user friendly, with a tad of compassion mixed in with their corporate nature. No more- no breaks here whatsoever. A couple of months ago, a part on my oil tank broke, and to fix it cost this school teacher almost $900, which I obviously couldn't pay on the spot. For this, I was taken off the auto-delivery list. I sold my car to get the money to send them, and did so five days ago. Now that my tank is on the verge of being empty (I will run out) I am told that they had to treat my debit payment as "pending" so I couldn't go back "on the list" until today. It's too late in the day for them to "come back out." If I ask them to go "off route" I will be charged ANOTHER $80. After being an excellent customer for 7 years, since I bought my house, I feel this is lousy customer service. They have us by the proverbial short hairs, of course,and can treat us any way they'd like. I disapprove and hope to find an option in my future.

Eastern Propane & Oil in Rochester is a shady company. They charge you for fuel that was never delivered. I have checked my tanks and noted I had X amount of gallons. A week later I get a bill saying I owe another $600. When I call their customer service I get the run around (usually the local office you need to call isn't open or only for emergencies which means they can't check your bill). They cannot show any track history of a fuel payment. The drivers are adamant they leave the bill in the door, but I have yet to receive. I do receive bill after bill with this supposed deliveries. Please try to stay away from this company if you would like to save money this winter. Prices are high as it is and there are plenty of local companies that would do much better for a client.
