PossAbilities of Southern Minnesota is a nonprofit agency that works to provide work and community opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. It was founded in 1961 as an alternative to institutions and offers work and social opportunities. The agency also provides career and individualized life planning, employment coaching, recreation programs and adult day care services. PossAbilities of Southern Minnesota supports various in-home support programs. It additionally maintains a foundation that was established in 2002 as a nonprofit organization to generate private funds from businesses, associations, foundations and individual donors. The organization is located in Rochester, Minn.
