Hi, I’m the owner, Matt Rushing. I was an avid skater when I was in high school in the early 2000s but gradually, and sadly, I stopped skating. This was mainly due to the fact that there were very few skate parks at that time. Late in 2013 I went to the Randol Mill Park in Arlington and saw that they had built a brand new free city skate park. The park is dedicated to Cody Rocamontes who was tragically killed while skateboarding to his favorite skate spot. His story and this new park reignited my passion for skateboarding. This also reignited an old idea I had when I was younger to create my own skateboard company. This inspired me to create a company that takes care of the skaters. With all the free skate parks growing around the state, I thought the best way to do that was to create a mobile skate shop that goes directly to you, the skater, along with an online store. Without having a brick and mortar store we are able to keep our costs down, which translates to lower prices. We will also be providing free bottles of ice cold water anytime we are visiting a skate park. Our name comes from a very old nickname for Cowtown, Fort Worth. It was nicknamed the Panther City in the late 1800's at a point when the city was practically a ghost town after a financial crisis. A businessman said the town was so quiet he had seen a panther sleeping in the middle of the city. The city rebounded but the nickname stuck ever since!
