Founded in 1969, the Halifax Academy is a private, Christian school for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The academy enrolls more than 500 students annually. Its campus features a cafeteria, library, gymnasium, mobile units and classrooms. The academy s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, computer science, social studies, science, English and foreign language. The Halifax Academy provides several student clubs, including monogram, octagon and quiz bowl. The academy offers an opportunity to participate in a variety of school organizations, such as the Student Government Association and Battle of the Books. It provides sports opportunities in football, soccer, golf, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and swimming. The Halifax Academy is located in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.
