Established in 1957, Sierra Middle School serves more than 1,000 students in grades seven and eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, language arts, math, social studies and science. The school offers a variety of extracurricular programs in art, band, choir and physical education. In addition, it offers foreign language sessions in Spanish. The school also offers medical care and guidance and counseling services to its students. Sierra Middle School provides various special education programs and conducts classes in computer education. Located in Riverside, Calif., the school s facility includes a library that offers a collection of books and resource materials for student reference. Sierra Middle School is a part of the Riverside Unified School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
