NEVER EVER GO HERE! I bought a brand new civic in Sept 07 and it has had multiple problems since. I don't blame Honda, I just wanted to be able to drive away in a reliable Honda. When I spoke to the owner (Richard Michaelson), he was beyond horrible...demeaning and belittling. He accused me of being "uneducated" and went on to raise his voice at me and refused to help me with my situation. He stated "go talk to a lawyer about lemon laws and then you can call me and have an educated discussion about lemon laws". When I went on to explain that his sales mgr was the one who brought up lemon laws, not me he stated "WHAT! I will bring him in here right now and terminate him and you can help find him a job". I was absolutely dumbfounded. When I explained to him that I have had problems with my car every few months since it's purchase, he proceeded to explain basic math and referred me to another dealership to have my repairs done.
I don't feel they are an honest dealer. I have 54,000 miles on my 2003 (with original tires) and yet 3 times they have said I needed my brakes repair. The last time, they wanted over $500 for brakes. I took it to a reputable tire & wheel place and paid $184. They also call you when your car is ready for pick up and you still end up waiting 30-45 minutes in showroom for your car. Corporate office (Hyundai Motors of America in Fountain Valley) is no help dealing with complaints. They give you such a runaround until you finally give up!
I will never purchase another new vehicle from this dealer. They were not honest with the payoff amount of the vehicle I traded in. They should have used the payoff amount on the credit report but did not disclose that amount to me or have it noted in any of the paperwork. After a few months, they contacted me and wanted more money. I understand that the sales dept does this on a regular basis and they then will take you to court. BEWARE OF THE SALES DEPARTMENT!!!!
