The mission of the Riverside County Economic Development Agency is to enhance the economic position of the county and county residents, maintain the environment, encourage business growth, develop a trained workforce, improve existing communities, offer a variety of housing opportunities, and provide cultural and entertainment activities. The agency manages a number of different departments, such as County Service Areas, Community Development Block Grant, economic development, redevelopment, workforce development and the Edward-Dean Museum and Gardens. It also operates a number of programs that make business relocation or expansion easier. The EDA Fast Track Program can assist qualified businesses with land-use and permit approvals. The agency can assist businesses with employee recruitment and training. Outplacement services can help companies or individuals confronting career transitions.
