Located in Riverhead, N.Y., Roanoke Avenue School is a national Blue Ribbon school that has an annual enrollment of more than 320 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. It organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as costume parades, poetry jams, award assemblies, and science and book fairs. Roanoke Avenue School s staff includes a nurse, library assistant, psychologist and classroom teachers. The school supports various before- and after-school care and tutorial programs. It conducts academic classes in a range of subjects, including English, language arts, math, reading, science, social studies, computer applications, writing, vocabulary, and health and physical education. Roanoke Avenue School is a part of the Riverhead Central School District.
