The mission of Love and Care Health Career Center, Inc. is to train students in health care and to prepare them for future success as health care professionals. Philosophy and Objectives: Based on the responsibility that has been delegated to Home Health Aides, and the skill and ability that they should have when they enter the workforce, Love and Care Health Career Center, Inc. is committed to: 1. Training and providing students with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of welfare and health care needed to obtain and maintain the welfare of their clients. 2. Teaching students to use effective communication skills in order to establish and maintain an interpersonal relationship with the family of clients, health care team members, and the agencies with whom they work. Entrance Requirements: To be approved and admitted to Love and Care Health Career Center, Inc.'s course, applicants need to meet all of the following requirements: * Be 18 years of age or older. * Provide a valid I.D, Passport size picture, and an original Social Security card. * Provide a high school diploma, G.E.D, T.A.S.C certificates, or pass the Wonderlic Classic Cognitive Ability Test with a minimum of 20 out of 50 points. * Show ability and responsibility when registering * Love and Care does not discriminate against any person because of sex, color, race, nationality, etc. * Recognition for previous work will be granted at the discretion of the director, only when the student enrolls in the schools Personal Care Aide
