Highland Elementary School operates under Madison County Schools and offers educational programs to more than 600 students in grades three to five. Its curriculum includes reading, writing, English, mathematics, social studies, science and computer application. It offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including music, arts, band, clubs, games and sports. It provides educational facilities, including classrooms, playground, study hall, library, cafeteria and transportation. The school organizes various events and fun activities for its students that include homecoming parade, picture day, national boss s day, Red Ribbon Week, election day, Thanksgiving Day, Father s Day, ice cream and teacher appreciation week. The school works in partnership with various organizations, such as Venture Technologies, River Oaks Hospital, ACME Printing and Honeybaked Ham.
