Rubicon's treatment approach is intensive, with highly individualized therapy and concentrated care in a "family" milieu. A skilled professional staff trained in multi-disciplinary therapy models directs the treatment program. The living environment is a major consideration in the clients' treatment. The Rubicon facility provides a consistent and stable community that offers each client the opportunity to confront his or her own conflicts and develop the skills to overcome those conflicts. In this controlled setting clients find, perhaps for the first time, that their problems are neither exclusive nor insurmountable. Clients become participants in an extensive schedule of activities that includes individual and group counseling, educational and recreational therapies, family counseling, parenting counseling, life planning, and aftercare service. It is a program that encourages interaction, self-expression, decision making, creativity and responsible cooperation to facilitate well-rounded growth and recovery.
