Richmond Technical Center-South, located in Richmond, Va., is part of the Richmond City Public School District and provides career-oriented technical programs. It nurtures each student to master skills to become marketable and successful in their chosen career through school-to-career training, youth apprenticeship and entrepreneurship programs. It assists students to develop soft skills by participating in mock job interviews, career fairs, student organization leadership and competitive events, and participation in business and community projects. It enables students to enter the job market, establish their own business or pursue postsecondary training or a degree. It offers various courses, including agriculture and horticulture sciences, engineering systems, drafting and design, automotive technology, graphic imaging technology, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Additionally, it offers courses in masonry, carpentry, medical assistance, building management, practical nursing, computer systems technology, cosmetology, restaurant ownership, culinary arts, dental assistant, electricity and cabling and Web design.
