New owners have upgraded everything about Apollo but use the same pizza recipe. Best pizza in town. They now have tons of beers too.
To the first person, the spaghetti dinners are for two people, so $30 for dinner for four, appetizers, and drinks delivered to your door is not bad. As always, if there is EVER a problem with the quality of our food, call the store and I will personally come to the address, inspect the food, and will remake or refund any improperly made orders. I apologize for your experience, and I hope you will try us again. To the second review, I was the manager that you spoke to, and I would like to again explain to you that had you made some mention of the incident at the time it occurred we could have worked with you. However, we are not in the business of handing out free pizzas or money to anyone who just walks in and said they had a problem the previous day. The only thing that seems shady is not addressing the problem when it occurs. Sincerely,The Apollo Manager
I've been ordering from Apollo since 2007. I've had nothing but great service (they say 45 min to an hour most of the time and they always make it in that time or less). I say it's one of the best pizza joints in town in terms of quality and taste. Plus their baked pasta items are awesome, and their garlic bread is the best I've ever had.
This is one of the worst places we've eaten at in quite a while. We ordered Spaghetti and meatballs, Cheese Stix, Mozzarella Stix, 2 liter of Pepsi, and all that came to $30.00. The driver was slow getting here. Some of the food was cold, and not to mention how the food tasted. I love cheese stix, and I didn't even finish mine. They were burnt and hard when I got them. The Spaghetti had 3 little meatballs, and the garlic bread was drenched in garlic sauce and leaking everywhere. We were supposed to get a side salad instead of 2 things of garlic bread but they were out of lettuce. We will NEVER eat at Apollo's again!
I ordered a pizza for some friends late at night. They are the only chain which is open until 1:30 AM. I counted out the money and sat it on the table after ordering. Shortly after 45 minutes, the doorbell rang and I exchanged the money for the two 20" giant wagon wheel pizzas. I handed the driver two $20 bills along with a $2 tip. Instead of handing me back $15 he only gave me $5 which I found out later after reading the receipt. Since it was so late and they had already closed I figured I could wait until the next day to try and get my $10 back. Normally $10 wouldn't be a big deal but this was the worst week to lose ten bucks. I drove to Apollo Pizza and asked for the manager who at first seemed understanding. He then explained that once a driver counts their money and tips there's no way to go back and refund any money. He said if I would have called late last night they could've caught it. Instead of giving me a free pizza, refund or a discount, they said sorry. Just seems shady.
