Founded in 1964, Trexler Middle School is a learning institute that serves students in grades six through eight. It offers classes in social studies, science, math, visual and language arts, and physical and health education. The school additionally provides instructive sessions related to band, chorus, orchestra, and career and technical education. It offers the English as a Second Language program. The school operates a library that provides a variety of educational and learning materials. It offers opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, including soccer, cheerleading, baseball, basketball, softball, football, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field. The school supports the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Government. It also provides guidance and counseling sessions. Trexler Middle School is a part of the Onslow County School System, which serves more than 24,000 students through over 35 elementary, middle and high schools.
