The Richardson Police Department, also known as RPD, is a part of the city government of Richardson in Texas. It offers crime prevention services and protects live and properties. The department s Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team responds to hostage incidents and barricaded and emotionally disturbed persons. It manages a human resources department, as a well as a jail that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Richardson Police Department provides patrolling solutions.
