Great facility and location. Professionalism is poor due to billing practices and professionalism of office staff. I have been a patient for four years, enrolled in their “simplicity” plan which is supposedly to simplify cost and manage cost. This year my plan was priced at $100 higher than my wife’s with no explanation or statements provided showing cost break down. My cost in April for the year was $509 which included a standard exam, X-rays an two routine cleanings. I returned in August for my second cleaning and was presented with an additional charge of $169. The office manager stated it was a charge for periodontal prevention plan which was never discussed or quoted as an additional cost. It was supposedly “prescribed” by the hygienist but was never discussed with me. My cost for doing business this year with Modern Dental is $679. The cost includes routine exam, X-rays, and two routine cleanings and compares to a published estimate for same services in North Dallas as being $425. After arguing with me about the price the office manager response was “I am sorry you are confused”. While I am not confused I am definitely sure I can’t afford the price point and misrepresentation of pricing by Modern Dental.
