Julia Pickens, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician with Ascension Medical Group. She provides care for patients with diseases and ailments specific to young and growing bodies. Dr. Pickens manages the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children in every stage of development to early adulthood. Her special interests include caring for newborns, promoting the benefits of breastfeeding and obesity screening/prevention for pediatric patients. She enjoys working with patients and their families. Outside of the office, Dr. Pickens enjoys spending time with her family, knitting and watching British Television.
