Other causes can include certain medications, radiation therapy, surgery, infections, dietary deficiencies, and hormone imbalances. - Urinary IncontinenceA woman’s anatomy is complex, intricate and changes over time. For most of history, vaginal issues or conversations regarding the vagina have been difficult to have and are often deemed taboo. Women tend to shy away from these conversations, even with their medical professionals. As women age and undergo hormonal changes, a weakened vaginal wall, loss of lubrication, lack of sexual satisfaction, and urinary incontinence can be common. At the Madison Women’s Clinic, we hope to change this pattern and allow women to have open and honest discourse about vaginal concerns. If you are a woman in Rexburg or Rigby, Idaho, feel free to speak to us about your vaginal health and the options for vaginal rejuvenation.

- LesionsFibroids are more common than you think. As many as one in five women will experience fibroid growth in their lifetime. It’s not common for women under the age of 20 to develop fibroids. Uterine fibroids are benign (non-cancerous) growths that develop in the uterus. They can vary in size from small, pea-sized growths to large, bulky lesions. We typically see these lesions in the muscle wall of the uterus but they can also be found just under or outside of the uterine lining. It is thought that fibroids are caused by hormones or a genetic predisposition.
