Based in Reston, Va., the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is an organization providing mathematics education. It serves more than 1 million members and over 200 affiliates. It provides dialogues, constructive discussions and teachings on mathematics for the students throughout the country. It also publishes professional journals for various age groups, including children, mathematics teaching in the middle school, mathematics for teachers and the journal for research in mathematics education. In addition, it provides ON-Math, the online journal of school mathematics. Its other publications include the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics News Bulletin, monthly electronic Member Updates and educational books, videos and other resource materials.
