The Jasper County Sheriff's Police Department is a law enforcement agency that prevents loss of lives, injuries and property damage. It provides services in the areas of accident investigation and reconstruction, traffic safety and enforcement, criminal case investigation, civil processing, security of courts and emergency planning. The Jasper County Sheriff's Police Department also handles a variety of family crisis issues, such as enforcement of court orders that involve visitation, restraining and protective orders, as well as emergency mental commitments and domestic disturbances. The department organizes and supports several neighborhood safety, community policing and drug eradication programs. The Jasper County Sheriff's Police Department is located in Rensselaer, Ind.
