Formed in 1974, SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, located in Reno, Nev. The firm offers an array of services, such as mining project evaluation, geology, geotechnical, tailings, heap leach/mine waste, water management, extractive metallurgy and mineral processing. It serves over 1500 clients, including world's major and medium-sized metal/industrial mineral mining houses, exploration, banks, petroleum exploration, construction firms and government departments. The American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) awarded the 2009 rock mechanics award in the category of "Applied Rock Mechanics Research" to SRK Consulting.
