Hidden Valley Elementary School is an educational campus that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade six. Established in 1989, it is located in Reno, Nev., and provides services to more than 500 students. The school employs a staff of over 35 teachers and paraprofessionals, including counselors, media specialists and speech therapists. It conducts classes in math, science, social studies and English. Hidden Valley Elementary School offers basic learning sessions in computer applications, special education, music, and arts and crafts. It also has a parent-teacher association that supports various campus events, as well as organizes picture competitions, fall carnivals, singing concerts, and science and book fairs. The school is a part of the Washoe County School District, which is one of the largest educational systems in Nevada and provides services to students in kindergarten through grade 12.
