Established in 1999, Redding School of the Arts is a charter school that provides various academic and extracurricular activities along with special programs in visual and performing arts. It serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school s academic curriculum includes language arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. It also offers programs in music, opera, dance, drums, creative writing, architecture, design and graphic arts, painting, sculpture and photography. Redding School of the Arts also offers classes in Chinese. The school maintains a library that provides various books and journals on several subjects and topics.
