Doesn't even have a working phone.

This company has questionable business practices. While they do seem to pay the going price for aluminum, they do not inform you of the rules that apply to the transaction. Yesterday I took in over 100 pounds of aluminum cans. (145 pounds) They happily took them, weighed them, and wrote me a ticket to take into the office for payment. All that without mentioning that once you exceed 100 pounds your price per pound drops from over $1.60 per pound to 20 cents per pound. If a person was informed of that fact at the time of weigh-in they would have the option to only turn in 100 pounds. In fact I'd have been better off to donate 45 pounds to the person behind me. Then I would have been paid $160 for the remaining 100 pounds.......instead, I was paid $27 for 145 pounds. Northstate Recycling informed me (after the fact) that this is a state regulation, which may be the case, but a business of integrity and honest business practices would take the half second required to have their attendant inform people of the fact that they were going to exceed the allowable amount of aluminum and thereby significantly reduce their payout.

KILLER PRICE FOR CANS. I BROUGHT 2 BAGS ALL CRUSHED & DROVE AWAY WITH $90.00 ADDED TO MY MONEY WAD!!!!!!! I HAVEN'T EVER GOT NEARLY THAT ANYWHERE ELSE. NOT EVEN AT THE MELTDOWN PLANTS IN BAY AREA!! :~)

The first time I called the phone just rang and rang and rang!!!! Tried to call again and all I got was a fax...I just wanted to know the price of aluminium!!! Geezzz...Maybe you should have an answering machine just to let customers know your hours of operation and price per pound!!
